The Bible teaches us that Jesus is God who came down in human flesh. The eternal Word who was with God and was God became a man (John 1:1, 14). In Jesus, all the fullness of God lives in a human body (Colossians 2:9). He existed in the form of God and then humbled Himself to be born like us (Philippians 2:6–7).
Jesus is truly and fully God and truly and fully man, the eternal Son who became flesh to save us from eternal separation from God Himself, and by extension, eternal punishment.
